Week 8

This is an interesting interview with a woman who was angry with how sexism in the media was affecting her children and decided to start a clothing company that empowers young girls.

I especially was interested in the last part of interview where the woman talks about how she allows both her son and daughter to explore all options and not be defined by gender, "I don’t necessarily think it is easier for boys, but it is different. I think we need to get back to some common sense childhood. Let’s allow our kids the space to play and explore without limitations based on gender."

  1. I like the fact that she went out of her way to try and make clothing that uo unitll this point we didnt see. I especially like the fact that some of the shirts show girls in fields that are usually geared towards males ( the sciences)
