I read your article and decided to check out the political affiliations of these states. Based on http://www.gallup.com/poll/114016/state-states-political-party-affiliation.aspx, Indiana is a slightly democratic state, North Carolina is a strongly democratic state, and Kansas is "competitive", though it is the 7th most republican-leaning state. Therefore, I feel like it would be really interesting to see the laws about abortions in other strongly democratic and republican states. Because Kansas is on the border, it has laws that limit abortions but also had legal decisions in favor of Planned Parenthood. However, North Carolina and Indiana are both democratic so they were only mentioned regarding making legal decisions in favor of Planned Parenthood.
I read the article and one of the points I found interesting was about having women who want to get abortions go through counseling with anti-abortion activists. While I do believe choosing to get an abortion is a difficult choice that requires lots of thought, the choice can only be made by the woman in question. Having someone spit out his/her ideas without knowing/living the life of the pregnant women in question seems very unhelpful. Only the woman making the decision knows if she needs to abort the pregnancy or not.
